Michael Harty commented that trade was improved all round but that bullocks between 450-550kg “were a serious firm trade”. A lot of Herefords sold from €1.902.10/kg while six Friesians at 505kg made €1.80/kg as two farmer buyers tested each other’s metal. Prospects for beef prices going forward saw the cull cow trade move very well with even those straight from the parlour at 500kgs making €700/hd.
