Agri-food tourism projects net €200k

A TOTAL of €200,000 worth of funding has been awarded to 11 agrifood tourism projects by Agriculture Minister Michael Creed.

The 11 projects which received funding are: Carlow County Council, Little Milk Company, Drumshambo Community Council, Laois CC, Ballyhoura Development, Galway CC, Wicklow CC, Tipperary Food Producers, Waterford County Festival of Food, West Cork Farm Tours and Sligo Food Trail.

Minister Creed said: “I believe agri-tourism is of great importance for rural areas in order to showcase their people, landscape, history and culture.”
