Agri-food tourism projects net €200k

A TO­TAL of €200,000 worth of fund­ing has been awarded to 11 agri­food tourism projects by Agri­cul­ture Min­is­ter Michael Creed.

The 11 projects which re­ceived fund­ing are: Car­low County Coun­cil, Lit­tle Milk Com­pany, Drumshambo Com­mu­nity Coun­cil, Laois CC, Bal­ly­houra De­vel­op­ment, Gal­way CC, Wick­low CC, Tip­per­ary Food Pro­duc­ers, Water­ford County Fes­ti­val of Food, West Cork Farm Tours and Sligo Food Trail.

Min­is­ter Creed said: “I be­lieve agri-tourism is of great im­por­tance for ru­ral ar­eas in or­der to show­case their peo­ple, land­scape, his­tory and cul­ture.”
