There’s never been a more ex­cit­ing time for veg­eta­bles in Ire­land. Farm­ers like Maria Flynn at Bal­ly­makenny Farm are bring­ing won­der­ful home-grown va­ri­eties to mar­ket like sweet-stem cau­li­flower, long­stem broc­coli, Yukon Gold and Vi­o­letta po­ta­toes. With plans for new ad­di­tions next year, chefs are queue­ing up to cook this qual­ity Ir­ish pro­duce.
