Tall Order Stephen Leather

Irish Independent - Weekend Review - - BOOKS - MYLES McWEENEY

Top MI5 operative Dan ‘Spider’ Shepherd has been sidelined, and he’s now been seconded to London’s Metropolitan Police as an operative in their Super Recogniser Unit because of his photographic memory.

He hates being desk-bound, so when his former boss asks him to take on an off-the-record revenge mission in the wake of a suicide bombing at a football ground, he agrees.

Back in the field he finds himself in pursuit of a mystery man code-named Saladin, who was behind a terrorist attack on an American airline a decade ago and the football ground suicide bombing — and is now planning a wave of terror in Britain.

Leather’s latest highly entertaining Spider Shepherd action-all-the-way adventure reads like an edge-of-the-seat film script.
