Gilbert O’Sullivan (BMG) SINGER-SONGWRITER

Irish Independent - Weekend Review - - CULTURE -

The Waterford-born singer’s critical rehabilitation continues with this, his 19th album, and one that has much to say about mortality and the ageing process. O’Sullivan is a whimsical writer and there’s plenty of humour and whimsy among these songs and they benefit from a smart production from the in-demand Ethan Johns. He’s always been a top-notch tunesmith, and ‘At the End of the Day’ offers a timely reminder.
