THERE’S a sort of fairy door in the garden of The Beeches, at Crowe Abbey in Greystones, and it goes through a brick archway straight out to Burnaby Heights.
This is handy for golfers, among others. There’s a walkway at Burnaby Heights that will take you directly into and through Greystones Golf Club. You can make yourself useful replacing divots along the way, and be sipping a G&T in the clubhouse in about three minutes flat.
Failing that, if you consider golf a good walk spoiled, then make your way in an easterly direction past the clubhouse and down Whitshed Road, and you’ll get to the DART station and the sea in less than 20 minutes.
