‘Transformers’ star Jack saves the day for students

- Melanie Finn

ACTOR Jack Reynor ‘transformed’ the day for school students when he paid them a surprise visit.

The Wicklow man (25) spoke to pupils at St Raphaela’s Secondary School, Stillorgan about working in the film industry.

The ‘Transformers’ actor said it gave him fond memories of Belvedere College, where he “had a blast”.

“I went to secondary school in Belvedere College and I actually miss it quite a lot. It was a simpler time and I enjoyed the lads,” he said.

“We used to have good craic together so like I was saying, it’s nice to come in and just be in an environment with a bunch of young people who are having the same kind of experience,” he said.

Now based in Ireland for a few months as he eyes up his next big project, the IFTA-winning star also gave his thoughts on the Oscars Best Picture fiasco.

“That was insane, that was madness. I think that was the fault of PwC, that was a big ball drop on their part,” he said.

The star, who is engaged to model Madeline Mulqueen, was at St Raphaela’s as a guest of honour for AIB’s Build A Bank event after being approached by a friend in the bank.
