Brain injury claim

A MAN who claimed he sustained a brain injury when he was thrown from his bicycle after allegedly hitting a pothole has settled a High Court action against his local council.

Nathan King (21) was cycling home on the outskirts of Galway city on March 20, 2012 when he “hit something” and woke up in hospital. Galway County Council denied the claims and said he failed to wear a helmet.
