Our leader’s shameful actions

Enda Kenny’s treatment of the Irish media in Canada was nothing short of shameful.

I doubt if his showing off in front of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had its desired effect – I would imagine the opposite was the case.

In any event, it doesn’t really matter one way or the other as Mr Kenny will be out of the picture shortly.

At this stage of his ‘leadership’ I couldn’t see much point in him going to Canada anyway ... another futile trip paid for out of the public purse.

The question about his stepping down date was a valid one, and that he answered a dignified question in such an undignified way makes me feel ashamed that our Taoiseach would act this way on a foreign stage. David Bradley Drogheda, Co Louth
