Independent, it was reported that Garda Michelle McGuinness replied “no comment” when it was put to her by defence counsel that there was no reference to rocks in her statement because “it didn’t happen”. This was inaccurate and in fact Garda McGuinness replied: “That’s not correct”. We are happy to make this correction.
