MORE than 1,200 people will attend today’s FutureScope conference in Dublin.

The event aims to bring together 300 startup and scale-up businesses with entrepreneurs and large enterprises to develop opportunities for working together.

Delegates will hear about evolving trends and how they are expected to shape the world, with more than 90 speakers and panellists set to provide insights.

The event, at Dublin’s Convention Centre, is organised by Dublin Business Innovation Centre (BIC).

It will feature representatives from international companies such as Google, Microsoft and MasterCard. Executives from Irish companies including Paddy Power Betfair and Genomics Medicine Ireland will are also be at today’s event.

As part of FutureScope, Dublin BIC is looking to find Ireland’s “most scalable idea”.

One entrepreneur or startup will win a package of start-up supports, including the opportunity to pitch a business idea to an audience of more than 1,200 on the FutureScope main stage, a desk at the Guinness Enterprise Centre, investorready preparation from Dublin BIC and €2,000.

Participants at FutureScope will also be able to pitch to Ryanair, imagining what they would do if they had the airline’s customer base and resources.
