Dangerously funny

AN AUSTRALIAN politician is stunned that he has grabbed the attention of the stars of the US television series ‘Veep’ by laughing so hard at an episode that he choked on sushi, fell and knocked himself unconscious.

Graham Perrett said he was left with three stitches under a black eye and surgical glue on his split nose after the mishap. He said it happened while he was relaxing in front of the TV at home in Brisbane.

News of the 51-year-old opposition Labour Party politician reported in ‘The Australian’ newspaper drew Twitter responses from ‘Veep’ stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Timothy Simons.
