Lotto winners stored €6.1m ticket with guns

A THRILLED family stored a winning Lotto ticket worth €6.1m in a safe with their guns for safety.

The delighted winners – who want to remain anonymous – revealed the day they bought the golden ticket at the Topaz Service Station in Athlone, Co Westmeath, was extra special as it was also when their first grandchild was born.

The family of six shared Saturday’s €12.3m jackpot and collected their half of the fortune yesterday.
