Go down to the Wood

In the heart of Dunshaughlin village, Hanson Wood is perfect for families – especially those that expect to grow in number

-

IF you’re on the lookout for a traditional, affordable home with easy access to the capital, you will find it in Hanson Wood in Dunshaughlin, CoMeath. The development, which comprises 22 three and four-bed semi-detached houses, will appeal hugely to family buyers in particular, given that it is a low-density estate situated right in the heart of Dunshaughlin village. All homes here will be owner occupied, as Hora Homes does not sell for rental – something that should greatly enhance the sense of community and general upkeep of the development.

One of the most novel features of the Hanson Wood homes is that each comes with an attic pre-designed for conversion. This allows buyers the opportunity to add a further room of up to 250-300 sq ft without structural alterations (subject to planning permission). Alternatively the attic would make for an excellent storage area, with folding attic stairs fitted as standard to all homes.

The busy town of Dunshaughlin is just a 10-15 minute drive from the M50, and in an area full of amenities and areas of interest. Examples include the new Avoca store, Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Black Bush and Killeen Castle golf courses, Fairyhouse racecourse and the Hill of Tara.

The town has a high quality bus service which runs every 30 minutes, and benefits from bus lanes for most of the route to the city centre. There is also an excellent park and ride train station at nearby Pace, from which a commuter rail service serves Connolly Station.

The developer, Hora Homes, hasn’t skimped on spec with Hanson Wood. The homes come with high quality German Kube kitchens with feature islands. Bosch kitchen appliances are included as standard where contracts are signed within four weeks. There is also a choice of sliding wardrobe doors from Kube In- teriors. Hora Homes has also continued to provide traditional stone fireplaces with wood-burning stoves as standard. Heating systems in the A-rated homes are by way of super efficient Panasonic air to water heat pumps, which provide 24-hour consistent heat and on-demand hot water.

Hora Homes – an approved help-to-buy contractor – has long been associated with high quality, luxury housing developments in the Greater Dublin area, all of which are finished to the highest standards. Established in 1973, the company is currently completing several well-regarded developments in the area, including The Georgian Collection at Seachnall Abbey in Dunshaughlin, and Beresford in Donabate, Co Dublin.

Prices at Hanson Wood start from €320,000 for the three-bed semi-detached houses and from €360,000 for the four-bed semi-detached houses. First completions will be in October.
