When new homes come on stream in Celbridge, buyers sit up and take notice. The latest phase of Hazelwood, close to the train station, will be no different

-

WITH Celbridge having proven extremely popular with home buyers in the past – largely because of its village atmosphere and proximity to the capital – the final phase of Hazelwood is sure to go down well with house hunters.

A choice of two four-bedroom semi-detached house types are now available at the development on the Hazelhatch Road. The Type D homes measure an impressive 1,906 sq ft, while the Type E homes extend to 1,560 sq ft.

These are homes that will suit any buyer looking for a countryside location that is still within a short and easy drive – or train ride – of Dublin city. Residents at Hazelwood can walk the short distance to Hazelhatch train station, from which there is a regular commuter service into Dublin Heuston; some trains take as little as 20 minutes to get to the city centre.

All of the new homes are A-rated and come with gas-condensing boilers, high-quality Carlson windows and external doors with low U-values to minimise heat loss. PV solar panels have been fitted to generate electricity and heat water, cutting energy costs even further. Both house types are finished to a very high specification, with off-street parking and spacious back gardens.

Hazelwood is the work of Careys New Homes (part of the Carey Group), who are well known for quality workmanship. These homes are no exception, with a very high standard of finish inside and out, including cobblelock driveways and contemporary kitchens fitted by Kitchen Elegance.

Hazelwood is just a two-minute walk from the bustling town of Celbridge, home to a vibrant community. The town boasts a wide selection of sports and leisure facilities, excellent restaurants and shops, and well-regarded schools. Probably its most remarkable feature, however, is Castletown House and Demesne – a Palladian mansion that now houses a café, hosts events and, being Ireland’s largest provincial park, offers the perfect walking spot for those long summer evenings.

Locals like to cycle by the Liffey or along the banks of the Grand Canal while, for those with other interests, also available locally are golf, tennis, rugby, canoeing, salmon and trout fishing, equestrian sports, swimming, soccer and GAA.

Carton Demesne – another very popular local amenity – is just down the road in Maynooth, as of course is NUI Maynooth. Celbridge is well served by primary and secondary schools and, for commuters, it is conveniently located just off the M4 motorway, providing easy access to Dublin and the national motorway network. Two of Ireland’s biggest international employers – Intel and Hewlett-Packard – are just 5km up the road in Leixlip.
