AIG Senior Foursomes

Killarney, the reigning Irish Senior Cup champions, are the red-hot favourites for the Senior Foursomes with international Valerie Clancy and Kelly Brotherton leading the side as Maired Martin competes for Ireland abroad. They face Carlow or Lurgan in today’s semi-finals as surprise packages Lucan, led by Kate Whyte, take on Roscommon.

AIG Junior Foursomes

Portumna will be hoping to match the men’s JB Carr Trophy winning team by taking home the Junior Foursomes. The Heath stand in their way in tomorrow’s semi-finals with local hopes Shandon Park or Tipperary’s Ballykisteen facing East Leinster winners Woodbrook in the other. While Woodbrook look strong, Ballykisteen were impressive as the defeated Lee Valley 2.5-0.5 to triumph in Munster.

AIG Intermediate Cup

The men lost in the AIG Senior Cup semi-finals on home turf last week, which means it falls to the ladies of Carton House to bring back the Intermediate Cup from Malone. The East Leinster champions face a tough showdown with Shandon Park as Wicklow meet Cahir Park or triple-chasing Mountbellew

AIG Junior Cup

It’s been a tough year for Stackstown following February’s fire, which gutted the bar, restaurant and kitchens as well as the professional’s living quarters. Until the re-build begins in November, the Junior Cup team is sponsored by their new home from home, The Coach House in Ballinteer, and they will be up for the fight as they take on Lurgan or Limerick in tomorrow’s semi-finals with the winners to face Athenry or Royal Curragh in Saturday’s decider.

AIG Challenge Cup

Malahide or Courtown will face Munster champions Doneraile as Connacht champions Mountbellew meet Fintona in the other semifinal following their nail-biting 3-2 win over Royal Belfast in the Ulster final.

AIG Minor Cup

Mountbellew or Headfort will play Wexford in the first of today’s semi-finals with the winner playing Donaghadee or Lee Valley in tomorrow’s final.
