Last house in small scheme is a rare find

152 Howth Road, Sutton, Dublin 13

-

NEW-BUILDS at the base of the Howth peninsula are few and far between, so it’s little wonder that three of the four homes that make up an enclave constructed at 152 Howth Road, between Sutton Cross and Howth Harbour, have already sold.

The three dormer bungalows in the small scheme were bought for prices ranging from €950,000 to €1m over the past 18 months. The fourth and final home available at the scheme, constructed by Donegal-based builders Harbo Homes, is a detached five-bed home extending over 2,435 sq ft and priced from €995,000.

Because the site is so large, the front cobblelock driveway — accessed via electric gates — can accommodate four vehicles. The rear garden, which is south-facing and not overlooked, has a good-sized lawn and a paved patio. The reception hall sets the tone for the rest of the house, with its tall ceilings, decorative plaster coving, and neutral colour tones. Off the hall is the main living room, with a feature natural stone fireplace and inset stove. Double doors open from this room to the kitchen/breakfast room, which has modern fitted kitchen units, integrated appliances and an island unit. This open-plan area has a second living space with double doors to the patio. The five bedrooms, including a master ensuite with walk-in wardrobes, are located on the first and second floors.
