Road closed after crash

A SECTION of the N5 was closed in Co Roscommon last night following a multi-vehicle crash.

It is understood that three vehicles crashed close to Strokestown golf course shortly before 8pm.

Some people sustained injuries in the collision, but they were not thought to be life-threatening.

Separately, in Cavan a section of the N3 between Butlersbridge and Belturbet will remain closed both ways until approximately noon today, following a serious incident.
