The judge imposed a number of conditions: that she sign on at Naas garda station every day between 9am and 9pm, surrender her passport and give a mobile phone number to gardaí and be contactable at all times.

She has also given a commitment to reside at a specific address, which she has given to gardaí and the court.

Ms McNeil was remanded to appear at Dublin District Court again on May14.

Wearing a long coat and black trousers, and with her left hand bandaged, Ms McNeil sat quietly in court as the case was being heard.

A 48-year-old man who was also arrested in relation to the seizure of drugs was released from custody on Saturday evening.

A file is now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
