Kids on tour with KPMG
KPMG has announced it will sponsor the 2018 Irish Kids Golf Tour season - just a week after revealing that they will back Cavan twins Lisa and Leona Maguire as they begin life in the professional ranks.
Established last year by Ciaran Cahill and Slieve Russel Hotel, Golf & Country Club Head PGA professional, Gordon Smyth, the circuit is designed to allow junior golfers to compete in a safe and enjoyable environment on some of Ireland’s best golf courses.
KPMG will provide goodie bags and branded caps to all the 600 participants aged from six to 13.
The tour, which will run from July to September, comprises four standalone provincial events and an AllIreland event with players competing in different age categories.
Smyth said: “We are proud to have a global company like KPMG as the title sponsor of Irish Kids Golf Tours. KPMG’s continued investment in young Irish talent and its support for the Irish Kids Golf Tour is most welcome in growing the game of golf in Ireland.”
Co-founder Cahill added: “KPMG’s sponsorship in golf is well documented particularly with their support of Irish golfers Paul Dunne and Leona and Lisa Maguire. To have them support Golf in Ireland at this grass root level is fantastic.”
Each competition will have live scoring and bibs for the competitors’ caddies, giving them an event experience from start to finish. 2018 KPMG Irish Kids Golf Tour Ulster: Slieve Russell Resort – June 17, 2018
