Aoife is golden at Seapoint

ROYAL Belfast’s Aoife Moore produced a blistering back nine to win the ILGU Junior Medal final at Seapoint.

She was one of 47 players who qualified for the final having won her club’s Junior Medal with the lowest aggregate of three nett score differenti­als (relative to CSS) in June, July and August.

After firing 19 points on the front nine at the Des Smyth and Declan Branigan-designed links off her handicap of 28, Aoife excelled on the back nine, racking up 23 points to win with 42.

Holywood’s Olivia McCrystal took home a silver medal with 31 gross points off a handicap of four while Portarling­ton’s Jiaren Eina Pang also won a silver medal for the best score in the +20 handicap range with 38 points.

Milltown’s Julie McGrath shot an impressive 40 points off a handicap of 28 to take home the bronze medal. ILGU Junior Medal Final, Seapoint Golf Links:
