GRAHAM Dwyer’s (right) bid to overturn his conviction for murder has been boosted after he won a legal action over the retention and use of mobile phone data.

The High Court ruled the Irish legislation under which gardaí accessed his communications data broke EU law and the European Convention on Human Rights.
