Quickfire double lifts London

-

LATE goals from Killian Butler and Ciarán Houlihan sealed a memorable win for London in Ruislip.

Butler’s followed a fine team move involving Matthew Moynihan, Pierce McGirr and Barry Tully.

Moynihan’s dash from deep was the catalyst and when the gap opened up for Butler, he shot low past Wexford goalkeeper Matt Doyle.

With Wexford still reeling, Liam Gavaghan’s ball sent David Carrabine racing away. He opted to fist the ball over, but as it dropped short, sub Houlihan touched it home.

Wexford had led by three points in the latter stages of the first half but Paul McLoughlin’s men could not find their rhythm. It took them 15 minutes to register the first of just two points in the second period.

“Our strength is the options we have in attack but our defensive shape is something we continuously work on and that is starting to pay dividends,” said London manager Ciarán Deely.
