Kelleher travels with Liverpool to Marbella

IRISH youngsters Caoimhín Kelleher and Corey Whelan have joined Liverpool’s first-team squad on a warm-weather training camp in Marbella.

Corkman Kelleher (22) and Whelan, a 21-year-old defender, were among a squad of 31 players who flew to Spain for the week-long camp.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was another notable name to travel as he continues his comeback from knee ligament damage he sustained in last season’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Roma.

Kelleher was named in Liverpool’s squad for the first time in their FA Cup defeat to Wolves in January.
