Martial: We want to pay Ole back with PSG victory

-

ANTHONY MARTIAL says it’s time for the Manchester United players to pay back interim manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer for liberating the team from the miserable reign of Jose Mourinho.

Solskjaer will lead United into the Champions League knockout stages against Paris Saint-Germain tonight, just two months after taking the job.

Martial backed the former United striker to take the reins long term and the Norwegian is believed to have held talks with the Glazer family and Manchester United hierarchy in the last week over taking the job full-time at the end of the season.

“When our new coach came in he had a lot of confidence, a lot of determination,” said Martial.

“We are trying to pay him back in kind and things are working out well at the moment. We hope they will tomorrow. We are really happy to have him here and we hope we can continue (together), but the final decision isn’t with us.”
