Big day out called off

-

THERE’S nothing worse than the horror of a last-minute double booking.

A delegation from the FAI were supposed to appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport this Wednesday.

It was set to be of some interest given recent discussions around the make-up of the FAI’s board and general governance issues surrounding Irish football.

Alas, it turns out that FAI CEO John Delaney, President Donal Conway and Director of Corporate Affairs Rea Walshe are needed in Switzerland for UEFA business this week – matters arising from the recent Congress in Rome created the clash.

Delaney says the FAI will ‘happily address’ any matters in April.
