NAOMH CONAILL began their defence of the Donegal SFC title with a 23-point hammering (3-20 to 0-6) of Milford.

Naomh Conaill showed no mercy after blasting into a 1-3 to 0-0 lead after just four minutes. Dermot Molloy, Charles McGuinness and Eunan Doherty hit the goals in their one-sided victory.

Kilcar soared to a 4-21 to 0-7 win over Termon. Donegal stars Ryan McHugh and Patrick McBrearty were to the fore, while Conor Doherty and Stephen McBrearty scored 1-3 each.

Gaoth Dobhair eased to a 2-17 to 0-7 win over Four Masters with former Donegal players Kevin Cassidy and Odhrán Mac Niallais scoring the goals.

Niall O’Donnell kicked three points as St Eunan’s recorded a 0-15 to 1-5 win over Bundoran, while Gerard Ward’s eight points helped Glenfin defeat Killybegs by 1-12 to 1-6.

An injury to Michael Langan was a black mark in St Michael’s 3-5 to 0-8 win over Michael Murphy’s Glenswilly. Langan netted a goal after just 10 seconds, while Murphy saw a penalty saved by Oisín Cannon.
