Man United stars’ cars floutsignals
FLASH cars owned by Man United stars Luke Shaw and Daley Blind have been filmed blatantly jumping lights at a death crash junction.
Drivers flouted the traffic signals at crossroads near the Red Devils’ training ground.
A car used by fullback Shaw, 21, tore through the red lights, turning right in one rapid motion.
A motor belonging to fellow defender Blind, 27, stopped, then edged forward and finally went straight across – only seconds before a car legitimately crossed the junction from his right.
Road safety campaigners slammed the drivers’ actions after The Sunday Mirror showed them video taken by an autograph hunter.
RAC spokesman Pete Williams said: “Driving through red lights is against the law for a very good reason, it’s a recipe for disaster. As well as controlling traffic flow, lights are there to ensure the safety of every motorist.”
Our footage was taken at the junction between the A6144 and Isherwood Road, moments from United’s Carrington training complex. The players had not long returned from an away trip to Belgian side Anderlecht in the Europa League.
They were ferried from Manchester airport in the team bus and collected their cars at around 2am.

Sergio Romero and Marcus Rojo were recorded stopping at the junction, but cars used by Shaw and Blind did not.
Five years ago amateur rugby league coach Gary Moore, 56 – a dad of two – was killed after a smash at the same junction. Three
other serious smashes have occurred at the same spot in the past 10 years, official records show.
RAC chief Mr Williams added: “Latest government figures (for 2015) show 2,945 people were injured in crashes where traffic signals were disobeyed, with eight losing their lives and 252 suffering serious injuries.”
Campaigners recently blasted former United star Gary Neville, 42, for holding a mobile phone as he drove along a motorway.
The former Man United and England star was caught on camera in March just days after the fine and number of points for texting or calling at the wheel was doubled.
Sky Sports football pundit Neville was pictured on the M60 in Worsley, Gtr Manchester, by a passenger in another car. His motor, thought to be a €160,000 Bentley Bentayga, comes with bluetooth mobile phone capability.
Manchester United’s press office said yesterday that Shaw and Blind had not yet been asked about the incidents – but insisted they would make no comment.
We also contacted the players’ agents for comment, but had no response by last night.
