Louise and Jamie Redknapp trash marriage split stories

- BY KIM CARR

STRICTLY runner-up Louise Redknapp and husband Jamie are all smiles on a dinner date – as speculation emerged their 18-year marriage is in crisis.

Displaying their wedding rings, they left London sushi restaurant Zuma on Friday night looking happy and relaxed. And they’ll soon be jetting off on holiday together.

Yesterday a pal said: “It’s business as usual as far as they’re concerned.

“They’re going on a beach holiday with friends soon which has been planned for a long time, while the kids are staying at home.”

Reports yesterday claimed the Redknapps are in a fight to save their marriage, which they denied.

The couple, who have sons

Sandra and Harry Charley, 12, and Beau, eight, were joining the rest of Jamie’s family this weekend to celebrate mum Sandra’s 70th birthday at a party in Dorset, thrown by brother Mark.

In October Jamie’s 70-year-old dad – former Premier League manager Harry – accidentally ran over Sandra’s foot in his Range Rover, causing ligament damage and leaving her on crutches.

Mark is said to have gone all out to throw Sandra a party to remember, with their family and closest friends invited, to put the past few months behind them.

Former Eternal star Louise came second to BBC presenter Ore Oduba, 31, in the 14th series of Strictly and is being tipped to appear in London’s West End.

Strictly has become synonymous with break-ups.

Celebrities including Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid, 46, model Daisy Lowe, 26, and news reader Natasha Kaplinsky, 44, are just some who split from their partners after the show.

But Louise recently said ex-spurs and England star Jamie, 43, supported her re-booting her career. She explained: “Jamie says: ‘As long as you’re happy that’s what I care about’.”

Louise, 42, who wed Jamie in Bermuda in June 1998, hopes to move into theatre musicals.

She said: “When you love something and you’re not able to do it at the level you’ve done it at, it’s really tough.

“You can park it a little bit, fill your life with other things like family, husband and friends but the love for what you’re doing never goes away’.”
