Poll reveals Fianna Fail lead by 4%

FIANNA Fail has surged four points clear of Fine Gael in its highest public opinion rating in nearly a year, a poll has revealed.

The Sunday Business Post Red C opinion polls, carried out from Monday to Friday, showed Micheal Martin’s party on top with 28%, up two points.

Fine Gael is in second place with an unchanged 24% while there was a onepoint rise for Sinn Fein to give them 18%, the Social Democrats, up one at 4%, and Renua, up to 1%.

The Independen­ts took the brunt of the drop, with support falling to 10%.

Labour and Solidarity/ People Before Profit and holding at 6% and 4%.
