Sun to come out for break as rain fades

-

THE Bank Holiday weekend is going to be wet, cold and windy – but weather experts said there will be some sunny spells.

Met Eireann issued a yellow warning for last night until 6pm today, with between 20mm and 35mm of rain expected to have fallen in Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

A forecaster said: “There’ll be a risk of flooding. The rain will extend to north Leinster and Ulster in the late afternoon and evening and will become lighter.”

The rain will start to lift tomorrow with “noticeably milder” temperatures on the horizon.
