Ex claims star covered up for violent husband

MEL B’s former lesbian lover today reveals the lengths the star went to in a bid to hide the torment of her “abusive relationship” with Stephen Belafonte.

In an explosive interview, Christa Parker, 44, says Scary Spice would come up with excuses if she spotted bruises on her arm. She also claims he sponged off the singer after they wed in 2007 and forced her to take part in seedy taped threesomes.

“Melanie should’ve divorced Stephen a few years ago, maybe she should never have married him knowing his track record,” she said. “It’s a good thing she finally woke up, after everything he’s put her through, and finally decided to call it quits.”

Christa dated Mel before she got together with Belafonte after they met dropping their kids off at school.

Telling how she repeatedly confronted the star over bruises on her arm, she claimed: “Mel would say she fell, or make up an excuse that covered for him.”

The former X Factor judge reportedly missed filming an episode in 2014 due to bruising.

Christa, who now lives in Ohio, added: “When they got together, he [Belafonte] thought he had money, alcohol, threesomes and all the girls... he didn’t care,”

In legal documents Mel, 41, claims she was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of the music producer, also 41.

She says he beat, choked and threw her to the ground.

Belafonte – dad to Mel’s girl Madison, five – appeared at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday after the star was granted a temporary restraining order against him, over claims of domestic abuse. He strenuously denies her claims.
