MAN AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL WITH BURNS AFTER CREAMERY HORROR
A MAN was airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious burns at a creamery.
The victim was transported from Nenagh to Cork University Hospital by the Coast Guard Rescue 115 helicopter.
He was injured at the Arrabawn Co-op in Nenagh at around 7.40pm on Friday.
A spokesman yesterday confirmed the accident at their main
Helicopter in Nenagh production facility and added: “He was treated immediately by our onsite trained first aid representative.
“Paramedics attended the scene shortly afterwards and he was transferred to Cork University Hospital.
“Our thoughts first and foremost are with our injured staff member and his family.
“We remain in constant contact with his family with regard to his condition and offer our support to them in any way we can provide it.”
The company said it was investigating the circumstances and would co-operate with the Health and Safety Authority probe.
