120,000 roll with Punches
THE Punchestown Festival ended a record-breaking week after it emerged yesterday more than 120,000 people attended the races.
Over the course of the five days, 122,557 punters passed through the gates at the Kildare venue, up 8,019 on last year.
And yesterday saw the biggest one-day attendance ever as 34,370 eager festival-goers arrived for AES Family Day.
That number is up 4,335 on 2016 despite a rainy start to proceedings.
