“He was so arrogant. He abused me in his office, knowing someone could have walked in at any time.
“I feel angry that I wasn’t allowed to learn about sex and relationships in the way other teenagers were.
“But the Jeremy Forrest case triggered something in me. I’d suffered depression and struggled to trust men and form lasting relationships. I broke down and told a counsellor, who explained the abuse shaped my whole life. Telling my parents was the hardest thing. They urged me to go to the police.”
Willson was jailed for 20 months when he admitted five counts of indecent assault at Burnley Crown Court in February last year. He was freed before Christmas.
CRUSHES
The pervert teacher was 25 when he started working at Hayley’s school in the mid-1990s. Many girls had innocent crushes on him.
A talented dancer and actress, Hayley was picked for leading roles in school shows. She said: “He and my dad both supported Leeds United. A friendship was born. Before long, they were going to the occasional match together.”
