AIDAN O’BRIEN’S Somehow looks the one to side with in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Victor Mccalmont Memorial Stakes at Gowran today.

This Listed contest contains its share of quality, but Somehow appeals as a likely winner following last month’s comeback at Naas.

On what was her first run since August, the fouryear-old lost out by half a length to Cazbo in the Group 3 Park Express Stakes. She can be expected to improve on that effort and the switch to better ground should also suit her well.

Jim Bolger looks to have several good chances and his Elusive Approach could be the answer in the fillies handicap.

In the conditions race, Taj Mahal is chosen to improve on his second to Orderofthegarter at Leopardstown, while the opener might fall to the Group 1 entrant Frima, who is a daughter of Frankel.
