ISAIAH THOMAS will continue to spearhead Boston’s bid for the NBA title tonight, a day after his sister’s funeral.

The Celtics’ team leader (above) has stunned fans by keeping his emotions in check to help seal a 105-83 win over Chicago on Friday and book Boston’s place in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

Thomas flew to the West Coast from Chicago after the game for sister Chyna’s funeral yesterday, but is determined to be on court in Boston tonight as they begin their best- of-seven series against the Washington Wizards.

Chyna, 22, was killed in a car crash two weeks ago and Boston’s Avery Bradley summed up feelings on the team.

Bradley said: “His mindset is to play for his sister, continue play the way he’s playing, and to just have fun, and appreciate every day.

“The way he handled this situation, a lot of people criticised it, but I respect him a lot.

“He was able to go through that and still be here for his team.

“I know that he’s going to continue to play hard for his sister.”
