ZAHA’S NEW PALACE DEAL

- BY STEVE STAMMERS

CRYSTAL PALACE are preparing to offer star winger Wilfried Zaha a new contract to keep him at Selhurst Park.

That is a blow to Tottenham, who are keen on the £40million-rated winger (above).

The Ivory Coast star, 24, has played the best football of his career this season after failing to make an impact in a two-year stay at Manchester United.

He returned to south London and his impressive form has put him on the radar of several clubs, with Spurs leading the chase.

Zaha is under contract for the next three years, but ambitious chairman Steve Parish is determined to keep the player.

The asking price would not deter Spurs, with Paris Saint-germain known to be keen on £30m France star Moussa Sissoko.

But the Londoners will be reluctant to sell if they cannot land Zaha.
