Stevie G: Boy completes my family
LIVERPOOL legend Steven Gerrard said yesterday his family is “complete” after the arrival of his first son.
The star’s wife Alex, 34, gave birth to Lio George – their fourth child – in the early hours.
Kop hero Gerrard, 36, shared the news on Instagram by posting a black and white image of Liverpool’s iconic Liver Birds with the words: “It’s a boy!”
He told his 5.9 million followers: “Lio George Gerrard was born this morning at 4.55am. Both are doing great. Our family is complete.”
He and model Alex, who wed in 2007, already have daughters Lilly-ella, 13, Lexie, 10, and Lourdes, five. Alex announced she was pregnant in November, uploading a cute photo to Twitter of the couple’s three girls looking at an ultrasound scan image and saying: “We are all very excited!!”
The birth comes at the end of a week in which ex-england ace Gerrard, 36, was confirmed as the manager of Liverpool’s Under-18s for next season.
