Two drown in 24hrs while on Spain hols
A SECOND British holidaymaker has drowned in the Canary Islands in less than 24 hours.
On Friday, a 27-year-old who went missing while swimming in Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria, was found dead. His partner lost sight of him in the sea.
After a four-hour search rescue divers found his body on the seabed, 200m from the shore.
A 30-year-old man died on Thursday after falling into the sea when he was hit by a wave in Puerto Santiago on Tenerife’s west coast. He was visiting a sea cave popular with tourists.
He was plucked from the water by a rescue chopper but could not be revived.
