Rock Band VR Oculus Rift The entire dynamics of this fun musical adventure have been shaken up by the awesome – but costly – addition of a virtual-reality headset.

Now when you look behind you, you’ll see the drummer, the lights on the ceiling and the dusty floor covered in your footprints. And in front, as ever, a mob of baying fans scream out every word while you blast out their favourite tunes on your guitar.

Players can pick their own guitar riffs and freestyle to one of 60 playable tracks. Both the PS4 and Xbox One Rock Band guitars are compatible with the Oculus Rift (£499). In terms of game mechanics, it doesn’t change that much, this is still your standard Rock Band, but with a glossier finish and impressive sound quality on your headset.

It’s nowhere near worth buying an Oculus Rift for this game alone, but it’s a

APP neat little addition to what could prove to be the future of gaming.
