WALL: IT’S GOING TO GET PHYSICAL
BOSTON @ WASHINGTON
JOHN WALL is gearing up for trouble as he goes head-to-head with the Boston Celtics again.
The Washington Wizards point guard – and chief trash-talker – knows he could be the difference between a place in the Eastern Conference final and another season of playoff disappointment.
But after an intense performance in game three of their playoff series on Thursday night that saw the Wizards trounce Boston 116-89, Wall knows that the “physical” Celtics will be gunning for him. Wall, who led the Wizards on Thursday with 24 points and eight assists to make it two games to one in the series, said: “They’re a team that uses their hands a lot. They’re a very physical team.
“And when you play that way for a long time, the ref lets you get away with it.
“They’re not doing anything dirty, they’re just being a physical team and trying to disrupt us.
“It comes with the game that somebody’s going to get fouled hard. That’s what goes on.”
