DARM’S UNSURE FUTURE

- BY SIMON MULLOCK

MANCHESTER UNITED’S Matteo Darmian admits his future at Old Trafford will come under scrutiny at the end of the season.

The Italian international, a £13million signing from Torino in 2015, has struggled to break into Jose Mourinho’s team at times this season.

But the 27-year-old said: “I don’t think it is the right time to speak about my future. Now is the time to think about playing against Arsenal on Sunday and nothing more.

“At the end of the season, we will see what happens.

“It is normal that when you play for Manchester United there is a lot of competition for places from great players.

“When the manager gives me an opportunity, I try to do my best and that is it. I want to help the team achieve our objectives and then let’s see.”
