DAN’S NO DROPPER

- By PETER FERGUSON

DANNY GRAHAM is fighting for personal pride as well as Blackburn Rovers’ Championship survival today.

The fit-again striker, 31, has never been relegated – and is determined to protect his perfect record.

Graham’s 13th goal of the campaign toppled Aston Villa last week to give third-bottom Rovers a chance.

But they know even a win at Brentford might not be enough if Birmingham and Nottingham Forest prosper.

Graham, who has played for 11 other clubs since a 2004 debut for Middlesbrough, said: “No player wants that on their CV. I’ve never been relegated and don’t want to be – and I’ll be doing my utmost to make sure it doesn’t happen.

“At Sunderland we stayed up with a 0-0 draw at Arsenal in the second-last game, so I’ve been in this situation before.

“If I can pass on some positive vibes to the boys about what we have to do, that can only help.

“We’ve massively under-performed this season but we know what’s at stake, and the Villa result has filled us with confidence.”
