Bumpy ride for new cab booking app
CAB booking service mytaxi admitted yesterday “tech gremlins” prevented some users from making bookings after its changeover from Hailo.
Several passengers complained of problems getting taxis via the mobile phone app which replaced its predecessor after a company merger in March.
Mytaxi has spent €5million on an ad campaign to promote the new name.
The company’s App Store listing has received a string of one-star reviews following the switch.
Mytaxi described the move as “one of the largest app migrations ever taken place in Europe”.
It added in a statement: “Of course, there are tech gremlins and challenges along the way.”
