I have a cream Bakelite telephone, with chrome dial and an address book. It doesn’t look in bad shape given its age. Mark Walcott, Shrewsbury. I think you have the 300 series telephone there. The earlier version, the Pyramid model, was produced in 1929. The 200 and 300 series models, seen on Dad’s Army and Heartbeat, were in production right up until 1959. The greater value lies in those with matching bellsets or the rarer coloured examples – including cream, which go for €460-plus. The address book adds appeal.
