Gardai appeal for information on attacks
GARDAI have issued an appeal on behalf of London Metropolitan Police to find anyone with information regarding the latest terror attack.
Three terrorists went on the rampage in the English capital last Saturday night, ploughing a van into unsuspecting pedestrians on the bridge.
Wielding blades, they then got out and roamed through nearby Borough Market, stabbing revellers in bars and restaurants at random.
It was initially reported that seven people had been killed in the atrocity, while a further 48 victims were wounded, some critically.
However, the death toll has since risen to eight – after Scotland Yard said a body had been found in the River Thames on Wednesday evening. Gardai are now appealing for information on behalf of London police.
A spokesman said: “Detectives from the London Metropolitan Police would like to hear from anyone who has information about the terrorist attack at London Bridge and Borough Market at 21.58 on Saturday, June 3, 2017.
“Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the white van targeting individuals on London Bridge, saw the suspects attacking members of the public or armed police engaging the suspects.
