Russell tried to re-brand in boyband
Russell Brand COMEDIAN Russell Brand once auditioned for 90s boyband 5ive.
Appearing as a guest on James Corden’s Late Late Show, the 42-year-old described his ill-fated attempt at pop stardom.
He said: “During one of my frenzies brought on by the methamphetamine.
“I thought that perhaps I’d do rather well in the boyband 5ive.
“I believe I sang More Than Words by the band Extreme. I’ll recreate it if you want but it was a disaster then, and I think it would be even worse now.”
Russell still believes that he could have added colour to the group.
