Social media death ruling

A JUDGE in Pakistan has sentenced a Shiite Muslim to death for sharing blasphemous content on social media.

Government prosecutor Shafiq Chaudhry said Judge Shabir Ahmed had sentenced 30-year-old Taimore Raza.

Raza was arrested last year for allegedly posting derogatory content about Sunni Muslim religious leaders and wives of the Prophet Mohammed on Facebook.
