Tiger anxiety drug ‘caused coma state’

- BY GREG WOODFIELD in Miami

TIGER Woods had taken anxiety drug Xanax before he was found asleep at the wheel of his Mercedes, a newly-released part of his arrest report reveals.

The drug can cause “profound sedation” when mixed with opioids such as painkiller Vicodin, which the star said he also used.

The golfer, 41 – who had back surgery in April – was filmed almost comatose in a humiliating roadside video two weeks ago.

Police suspected he had been drinking but found no alcohol in his system.

They held back the Xanax line when they first made their report public after arresting Tiger near his Florida home at 3am.

It is revealed in the full document, obtained in the US by NBC’S Golf Channel.
